Raymond E. Olsen MS BVSc—President of IMDS Discovery Research
Raymond Olsen serves as the president of IMDS Discovery Research where he oversees and directs world-class in-vivo testing of prototype medical device products. He was the founder of Frontier BioMedical Inc, where he spent 20 years as chief executive officer before it was acquired by IMDS in 2007. Ray now manages all operations at IMDS Discovery Research and closely collaborates with partners to ensure their success.
Mr. Olsen is very accomplished in his field with 7 patents, 21 years of lab management and surgical experiences, and more than 225 privately contracted study manuscripts developed to date. He pioneered several products, including the first surgical model for percutaneous osteointegrated implants for amputees. Mr. Olsen is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Orthopaedics at the University of Utah.
