Scoliosis model
Challenge
A venture capital firm focused on the fields of medical technology and biotechnology was referred to IMDS Discovery Research to develop and test a scoliosis model.
Solution
We helped the study sponsor identify specific study objectives and cater its study in an effort to maximize the study objectives. We worked closely with the study sponsor to determine the appropriate research model. We played an integral role in preparing the protocol and receiving ethics board approval. IMDS Discovery Research’s management of the study included procuring study resources and conducting all aspects of the study. At the end of the study, we provided the sponsor with complete study data for analysis.
Results
The time of first contact with the new sponsor to the time of study initiation was less than six weeks. The sponsor was extremely pleased with our ability to provide the study estimate within a week of contact and initiate and work through study objectives, and develop a protocol with them. The sponsor also valued our ability to schedule and initiate the study in a short time frame, and our personalized service and expertise. The sponsor’s entire study was done within a 16-week time period from the initial contact.
