CNC Machining Manufacturing Manager Logan, Utah

Responsible for driving the timely and efficient execution of production through the primary and secondary manufacturing operations. meeting customer expectations on quality and delivery by performing the following duties.

Responsible to meet all customer delivery commitments for orders by monitoring the product flow, identifying bottlenecks, managing recovery plans, championing continuous improvement Lean manufacturing initiatives to prevent recurring problems, and ensuring that information is delivered to appropriate stakeholders.

Ensure cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Quality / Regulatory, Supply Chain. Lead the development of effective relationships to ensure support for all organizational and functional initiatives.

Provides oversight and management of each operation to assure it is on track to meet schedule/customer requirements. Develops recovery plans as necessary to determine root cause of failure and to implement corrective action.

Responsible for the staffing, development and performance management of all manufacturing employees.

Supports the General Manager in initiatives related to capital equipment, facility and maintenance requirements, and physical layout of manufacturing facilities.

Proactively forms and leads interdepartmental teams to formulate recovery plans; to ensure that IPs, setup information, tooling, etc. are available, complete and accurate; and to ensure that outside processes are successful.

Coordinates with Project Managers to assure that customers are informed of any early/late deliveries.

Provides information to Project Managers so that customer mandated reports are accurate.

Provides technical expertise and training to other departments in support of product development.

Provides effective leadership for other managers, supervisors and individual contributors in the Manufacturing function.

Responsible for the assessment, selection, development and ongoing performance management of talent throughout Manufacturing.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, processes and applicable laws.

Works in collaboration with Human Resources to identify appropriate training and development needs and actively manages the execution of training initiatives.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university; minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
-
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
