Director of Operations - Product Sourcing Logan Logan, Utah
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Director of Operations is a key member of the management team and is responsible for providing strong operational leadership to the manufacturing facility. The Director of Operations will be expected to develop and execute tactical plans, determine appropriate operating metrics, and instill accountability throughout the operating location, thereby ensuring a high level of performance within the organization. The successful candidate will have responsibility for:
- Effective management of PS Logan operations – including Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain functions
- Assisting with the management planning process including tactical, operational, and budgetary to ensure the execution of the business plans
- Driving execution of Tactical Plan initiatives in support of strategic objectives
- Establishing and monitoring the day-to-day operational results as related to appropriate performance metrics
- Developing leadership and management skills and competencies within local frontline and functional leaders
Requirements
The successful candidate will have a verifiable track record of achievement in managing manufacturing operations functions that contribute to the profitable growth of a business. S/he will have 10 or more years of experience in hands-on positions in operations management and will be known for creating a customer-centric culture of quality and performance that exceeds expectations. S/he will have a proven track record of successfully integrating activities and efforts across the full supply chain and will be able to add value through lean manufacturing/six sigma/continuous improvement/operational excellence initiatives. S/he will have strong intellectual horsepower and a fact based approach to the analysis of business problems and opportunities. The successful candidate will be a critical thinker whose strong teaming skills are matched by their ability to constructively challenge assumptions and influence others.
This individual will be an excellent leader of both people and projects, who is a magnet for, and developer of, talent. The ability to conceptualize and then operationalize plans is critical. S/he will have a clear track record of helping frontline and functional managers understand and improve their structures, improve efficiency, quality and financial performance, and execute operational plans supporting growth opportunities identified by executive leadership.
A bachelor’s degree is required and a MBA or other relevant advanced degree is preferred.

- Understanding of key operational metrics and performance indicators driving efficiency and quality in a manufacturing environment
- Understanding and effective application of Lean/Six Sigma/Quality tools and methodologies
- Experience with IT/ERP/other software and technology implementations, challenges and solutions

- Strong analytical/business proficiency to provide relevant operational metrics that accurately describe current positioning and future trends, growth drivers and productivity drivers
